One of the focal points of Port Douglas is the famous Four Mile Beach. This is the premier beach of Port Douglas and you can walk to the beach in under 5 minutes from the village centre. Then you can continue to walk along the sandy beach for hours under the tropical sun.

Every weekend a large market is held in ANZAC Park, a flat grassy area, on the waterfront overlooking the Coral Sea.
